Rotary Gripper Model RG1.00
OmniFeed Systems has also developed a pneumatic rotary gripper. Our Rotary Gripper, Model RG1.00, has no limit to the number of rotations per cycle and also has no need to rewind to a home position at the end of each cycle. The gripper can be driven by servo, stepper, DC variable or pneumatic drive motors, to name a few. The gripper can be opened and closed anytime during rotation.
APPLICATIONS
As an accessory to pick & place units. The unit can be mounted to a pick & place unit to allow for a pick & place and a screwing operation all in one cycle. For example: to pick up a cap from a feeding system and then proceed to screw the cap onto a second component.
As a gripper that requires rotation either partial or continuous.

Shaft may be driven CW or CCW by constant RPM motor; or indexed by a stepper or servor motor (item #1 in the figure)
Choice of top or side air ports to open and close gripper jaws independent of rotary motor (item #2 in the figure)
